What’s all this about?

This blog is an exercise for me. What will be seen here are occasional reflections (personal, but obviously not private!) on my experiences and thoughts regarding my own ethnicity.  I’m a brown girl. But I find myself often not having a lot in common with the information I find on the web dealing with the brown population at large. I surf a bit here, pick a bit there and hang out over there to get all that I need. Then the riot of black blogs began and while entertaining, they are for the most part charting unfamiliar territory for me. And so, here I am. My very own blog space to talk about how black I am. Or am not.
